General Information
1st TRACKS Special Edition was released on December 15, 1999 as an extension to the first game, EZ2DJ The 1st TRACKS. Special Edition dropped the Hip Hop inspired theme and adopted a more Techno-Like atmosphere. Only 3 modes are available in this version, 'Street Mix', 'Radio Mix' and 'Club Mix'. The 'Exercise' mode was removed.
- For the first time in the series, players can adjust the scroll speed during song selection instead of using a hidden command.
- Special Edition is the only game in the EZ2DJ series where varying the speed of the turntable will vary the pitch of the note. Obviously very inspired by the same system in the Beatmania series.
- Long notes can now appear on both the turntable and pedal
